True Phantom reads the state of your active window — what you're typing, what's on screen, what errors appeared — without needing a screenshot request.

The most important promise
True Phantom suggests — it never executes. The AI will not take action on your machine unless you explicitly tell it to. It can point out a missing semicolon; it can't fix it without your go-ahead. This is non-negotiable.
The engine behind the overlay
How does Ghost Phantom show actions without slowing execution? +
Ghost Phantom runs in a separate process from the executor. The overlay subscribes to the same DAG event stream that the executor produces, but doesn't block it. When you see an action card appear, the executor is already preparing the next step — you just get a live preview of what's about to happen. There's no frame-rate penalty and no added latency beyond the natural human reaction window.
Can I use it without the overlay — just silent execution? +
Yes. Ghost Phantom is a mode, not a requirement. You can run any task in classic Ghost Mode (fully silent, no overlay) or Ghost Phantom (visible, step-by-step). Some people use both — silent for routine tasks, Phantom for anything new or risky.
Does the overlay ever steal focus or interrupt typing? +
No. Ghost Phantom is built on the same non-activating window architecture as the existing HUD. It renders above other windows without ever becoming the foreground window, never registers as an active application, and doesn't receive keyboard input unless you explicitly click into it. Your typing always goes where you expect.
What happens if I need to walk away mid-task? +
Ghost Phantom has three safety behaviors: (1) If you're idle for more than a set time, tasks pause automatically. (2) If any step needs a confirmation — like a file deletion — it waits indefinitely for your input. (3) If the current step fails, the executor marks downstream steps as blocked and stops, rather than retrying into the void. You can safely leave a Phantom session open.
